Damn damn damn damn!

I have been waiting an AGE to download the Curse of Steptoe and it is still hanging at 52.2% with only one source.

Did anyone record it and would share it on DVD?

Please?

Having bit more luck with bittorrent.
Might even have a complete copy before the BBC repeat it!

I don't think it would be worth buying the set as only the Steptoe and Hughie Greene ones were any good.

The Frankie Howerd one was desperate (David Walliams what were you thinking?!!) and the Tony Hancock one was difficult viewing because Ken Stott's voice was really annoying. Neither was anything like the people they were portraying.

The Steptoe one's interesting because even though they had loads of footage to watch and then copy, they still got it wrong. Isaacs got the voice just right for Harold but wrong for Harry; Davis should have lost some weight before filming and didn't cut it in the voice stakes either.

Either way it was the best for me because it got me interested in Steptoe and Son and got me watching a series I had never seen before. And now I've seen every episode including the Christmas specials and both the films.

And some bloke has posted 2 Harry H Corbett songs on YouTube. Worth a listen.

I really liked Isaacs in this but wasn't keen on Davis that much.

And thanks for the heads-up about Harry's songs, interesting stuff!
