STAN AND OLLIE FILM...

Postby PhilGlass » Fri Jan 11, 2019 11:31 pm

Saw this tonight... what an amazing piece of cinema... a very poignant story of two remarkable talents. Steve Coogan excels as Stan, and as a huge Alan Partridge fan I was skeptical that Partridge would come through but he was Stan all the way. John C. Reilly as Hardy deserves an oscar.

Yes I went and saw it yesterday afternoon :D

It was really good and well acted, I will see it again soon for the songs and dances.

We finally got to see what their theme tune was called - The Dance of the Cuckoo's.

How does Mr Hardy take his Tea?

Mr Laurel: "Milk and Four Sugars."
"And you look after those gloves!"

The title of the theme has been no secret, they released it on record many times. But it revealed a lot. I am a big Alan Partridge fan and was worried Coogan would just come across as Partridge but he didn't. A seriously good film. John C. Reilly is just remarkable. The double door sketch is hilarious
