Sounds like the makings of a good sitcom

Because it was rubbish. Written in haste, thought it was funny at the time, quickly realized it wasn't.
It's more fun reading what others have to say :)

Don't be too hard on yourself. I thought the same way of myself when I asked a lady directions once. She was in the bath at the time but my intentions were good. :P

A bit like the last scene of Kubrick's 'A Clockwork Orange', a blue haired physician shows 'Alex' a drawing of a bloke climbing through a ladies bathroom window and Malcolm McDowell improvised the hilarious caption: "No time for the old (deleted) love, I've just come to read the meter."

The new owners (no not you, though you paid for it) are already producing adverts apparently.
So now Television Centre, a Heritage site, is becoming a posh hotel. What's next? Stonehenge steak house?
*Shortfall being a convenient term meaning mismanagement.

I had read that certain aspects of the buildings would have to be maintained as they are in order to preserve the appearance. Some of the newer office spaces on the property that weren't part of the original design were clear for whatever the new owner wants to do with them, but the original elements such as the entry from the street and the question mark shape of the building must remain untouched.
I thought we'd nick a wreath off one of the graves as we went in.
