I liked Never the Twain. Crumbs, did you know that ran from 1981 to 1991? They were showing it on digital freeview a few months ago too. Love the opening sequence with the Toby jugs looking like Windsor Davies & Donald Sinden. :P

Here's a poser for you all.

Windsor Davies isn't Welsh.

Shouldn't say that to Sgt Major, Nobby, he'd have you on latrine duty for the duration of your national
service, chewing huge mouthfuls of salt tablets. And we hope you're not suggesting he's a poseur,
that'd be way worse, .303's and a blindfold .
Windsor Davies' parents were Welsh, he was born in Canning Town but they moved home to Cymru
when he was 9 years old. To suggest he's not Welsh simply because he came out of the womb in East
London is the sort of strict legal interpretation that Alf Garnett would espouse, if he were a barrister.
WalesOnLine seems to think Windsor Davies isn't Welsh, and is one of the reasons I don't waste my
time and privacy reading that annoying tripe. Cheers ILS & Nobby for recommending "Grand Slam"
(1977). Finally got to see it, and it's hilarious :o. Wish the film was feature length, great fun!
Not to suggest that Alf didn't have no sense in him, stumbling headlong towards reason.
And mind you eat your vegetables too: .
