I have recently rediscovered two childhood favourites, the fantastic 'Two Point 4 Children', which only has series 1-3 (of 8) on dvd but we have been promised a bbc (therefore average) release in 2010...

Also, The Birttas Empire, I have just bought the box set and I have had a great time watching it - series 6 and 7 are mssable but the rest are hilarious.

The Detectives is another great one, as soon as the box set is out its mine!

Brian Murphy lives a few roads away from me and I've bumped into him a couple of times while out shopping, etc. And what a thoroughly nice chap he is. Humble as they come.

Yes and from what I understand (I may be wrong) but Brian was at her bedside at the time of her passing. :(

I am sure you are right.. Brian Murphy was a great support to Yootha Joyce.

I saw him in a west end version of The Invisible Man a good few years ago now.

It really was well done and Brian although not the lead character was the star of the show.
