John Sullivan has died...

Postby PhilGlass » Sat Apr 23, 2011 1:04 pm

Writer of "Only Fools and Horses", "Citizen Smith" and others has died aged 64 - a tragically young age for anyone.

This site has been divided about Only Fools in the past, but this is still a shame. He often said that "The Offer" was his insipration for writing, and it was rumoured that Grandad's character was written especially for Wilfrid, who turned it down for whatever reason.

I've only just seen this news ..... how sad.

Whatever anyone's views on Steptoe parallels, the fact remains that he wrote one of the UK's best loved sitcoms. Lovely Jubbly well done my son !
