Hancock's Half Hour (S02E01) The Alpine Holiday (BBC) 2014 RESTORED - VidFIRE(D) (7800kbps CBR AC3)

As always, could be better, but hopefully, this will suffice, for now...

Synopsis:
Hancock decides to take a holiday and after an eventful flight has to share his hotel room with a yodeller and Alpine Horn player.

Main cast:
Tony Hancock, Kenneth Williams, June Whitfield, Richard Wattis, John Vere, Peggy Ann Clifford, Dennis Chinnery, Liz Fraser.

Download Hancock's Half Hour (S02E01) The Alpine Holiday from here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/n1o10uc6y ... AC3%29.mpg

This, as-per-usual, for my files/uploads, needs to be watched back on something that'll display interlaced video, or one of the main reasons for the restoration (the VidFIRE), will be lost.

See below, for more details on what you need to do...:

Tip:

If you're not going to watch this back on a proper CRT TV (remember those...), then use the following media player and settings:

VLC media player is an ideal candidate, if you plan to watch this back on an LCD or LED flat screen computer monitor.

Available here for Windows: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

Or here for Mac OS X: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html

Once installed, and the video is playing back, hit Pause, then go up to the Menu > Video and change the following two default settings:

1. Video > Deinterlace > On
2. Video > Deinterlace mode > Linear or Yadif (2x)

Once those are set, then hit Play...

Enjoy...

Pixel,
Did you notice the photo you posted of Tony Hancock (see below)...
...bears a striking resemblance to Alfred Molina. It's uncanny! :)

Indeed, DOY.

I'll send you a link to something, in relation to Molina, that you might find interesting, soon...

Best wishes,

Best wishes,

Cheers! A proper film about Hancock is long overdue: A bio without the predictably tired yellow (tabloid) journalistic techniques that wear everybody out. Should such a role come along (which is unlikely) Alfred Molina would be perfectly cast as Tony...and I'd be first in the queue to see it. And chances are, he'd accept the role.

Sure you couldn't have missed this...:

What I'm going to send you (still trying to find the hard drive that it's on), is related to what's in those links, above...

Cheers again! I didn't know Alfred Molina played Hancock back in ’91, which was around the time I stopped watching telly due to the zero quality. Have you seen Bobcat Goldthwait’s comedy “God Bless America” (2012).
Hilarious, prescient, very highly recommended. I mention it because the depictions of Yank television content in “God Bless America” aren't exaggerated, telly really has become that obnoxious: backward buffoons behaving like berks. Anyway, it’s unlikely Screen One was broadcast here, most folks never heard of Tony Hancock.
Apparently we’re unqualified to decide for ourselves what is funny .

Please don't send me links, unless they're Lincolnshire bangers. I respect animals and should be vegetarian and although I try, the most bizarre bit about 'full english breakfast' ...are the mushrooms. Why would anybody deliberately eat fungus that grows from dung, they're called toadstools for a reason you know! Ewww .
