It's just been announced that the great Irish Actor Milo O'Shea who played the bumbling drunk Doctor in the 1973 sequel Steptoe & Son Rides again has sadly died at his Manhattan home, New York aged 86. Your thoughts?

Yes, He had a good innings but it's still a shame when you find out the sad news. Never knew he even lived in the USA since the early seventies and was in so many US sitcoms too. R.I.P Milo.

Yeah, especially when he's in the pub having a good time and Harold phones him in a panic, he comes after clossing time to see Albert's and find his body stiff as a board then sees that fly land on Albert's his face and swears blind that he twitched. Oh... and that scene where he get's into his wreck of a banger and crashes as he drives away the car back firing with Harold's bemused look on his face as he waves good bye resulting in Albert's wicked impish expression of pound signs as he realises they've fooled him leading up to that "I want my body" epic scene with the dummy. Classic!

Brilliant! And not forgetting even after all that palaver and being sozzled out of his skin he still had the hindsight to say he'd meet Harold in the pub for a quick one later. What a man, what stamina, what a pair of glasses!
