The last DVD's you bought...

Postby PhilGlass » Fri Mar 30, 2012 8:57 pm

What were the last DVD / Blu-ray discs you bought?

Mine were...

Back To The Future 1-3 - Blu-ray
Downfall DVD
Lee Evans: Roadrunner DVD / Blu-ray

Bought them all together so hence the multiple listing, what did you last buy?

Rising Damp series 1 & 2.
Had never seen the show before. Rossiter's Rigsby is so frenetic, like a tightly wound spring, one wonders how he was able to keep up that much energy through a performance. Brilliant.

Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Richard O'Brien and Patricia Quinn's commentary is quite good.

Hi Stephen, thanks for joining in, make yourself at home here, we're a friendly bunch.

DVD extras? As Steptoe fans we have no idea what they are... did you notice Wilfrid in Arnold Ridley's extra 'We are the boys?"...

I recently bought season 1 of "The Twilight Zone" on Blu-Ray. Proper boys telly and the most interesting and worthwhile special features I've ever seen.

Dark Shadows - the original TV series on DVD!!

I got addicted to the reruns in the good old days of Cable tv in 2003, addicted in such a way I'd panic at college if I thought the video hadn't been set. The show is so loveably crap.

P.S. I've seen clips from the new movie, looks terrible, nothing at all the same style, actors are too young and just seems too silly.
