R.I.P. Herbert Lom

The man famous for playing Inspector Clouseau's nemesis Charles Dreyfus passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 95. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

Thats a shame, i always liked him any movie i saw him in.
One of my favourite films with Herbert Lom was The Ladykillers (not the crappy remake with Tom Hanks) the 1955 original with Alec Guinness,Peter Sellers, Danny Green and Cecil Parker and a young Frankie Howerd.

The original Ladykillers was brilliant. Alec Guinness looks so evil in that film

Herbert Lom was one of those British actors I admired as a lad, his Captain Nemo in "Mysterious Island" was brilliant.

The exchange between Dreyfus and Francois in A Shot In The Dark when he cuts off his own thumb with the cigar cutter is so underplayed it makes it hilarious. A great actor for sure.

Loved Herbert Lom in the Classic Hell Drivers film, In the brilliant Lady Killers film, The Pink Panthers franchise and playing Captain Nemo in Mysterious Island. He also was in if I'm correct an episode the Comedy series Dectectives playing a Dutch Police inspector when Briggs & Louie went to Amsterdam looking for Diamond smugglers but got trapped in a pilchard lorry and was sea sick on a ferry en route . RIP Herbert.
