I was and still am a great fan of early Corronation Street and can remember when the Duckworths moved into the street first and everyones distaste on them arriving with they're unruly kid. Bill Tarney then a window cleaner & gobby Vera (Liz Dawn) were brilliant characters along with binman Eddie Yates & cleaner Hilda ogden made this series. Bill's sad passing last year along with Geoffrey Hughes's recent death too and actress Liz dawns Illness bring it home how we are all mortal. Gone but not forgotten Bill!
