Seance on a Wet Afternoon

Postby bob » Fri Jan 31, 2014 7:07 am

Every now and then Ray and Alan would reference popular culture throughout the Steptoe saga. Quite often they would give a title to an episode that reflected other TV, Films and Shows. One such was 'Seance in a Wet Rag and Bone Yard' this was a take on one of the big films of the era 'Seance of a Wet Afternoon'.

This file released in 1964 was an adaptation of a novel my Mark McShane.

If like me you have never seen the original movie now is your chance to get acquainted. An adaptation of the play is being broadcast this Saturday on Radio 4. Remember the pictures are ALWAYS better on radio !!
