000 - 3-2-1: Dickens (Christmas Special) Challenge 75 minutes (On Com - BlackGold, WMC .wtv)
Wed 24 Dec, 2014 7:00pm to 8:15pm (First broadcast 25 Dec 1979 ITV)

This was last shown last year, but was fairly heavily 'dogged' on the top right-hand of the screen, with: '1st EVER EPS, 3 day to go'.

So tonight's repeat, should only be marred by the 'challenge' logo, and thus our chance, to get the best copy of this yet, since its original / first broadcast...

Series 2, Episode 11

Dickensian-themed Christmas special of the popular game show presented by Ted Rogers. Contestants try to avoid elimination, and the Dusty Bin booby prize, by solving cryptic clues.

* Featuring: Bill Maynard, Terry Scott and Wilfrid Brambell (Ebeneezer Scrooge/Self).

IMDb: 3-2-1 Dickens (TV Episode 1979) - IMDb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1221553/

Bit late in replying I know but thought I'd comment.

Seen the episode ironically on digital channel challenge a few months ago, then luckily taped it onto DVD. I found it both wonderful and sad at the same time seeing Wilfrid again in the knowledge that even though he looked healthy, hadn't changed one iota since the series ended in 74 he'd soon be gone in 1985 three years after Harry H passed. Very sad. Thank heavens for archiving eh.

I disagree. I think Wilfrid does a below par performance, clearly intoxicated. He did some wonderful performances that year but I think this one is awful. Sorry. Or at least awful for Wilfrid's ability and standard, of course, he is better than everyone else! The terrible script and costumes don't help!
