Jaguar Monthly recently had an article about Jaguars used in film and TV.
I E mailed them info about The Colour Problem and they published the letter complete with a picture :o

Best motors on the road, I've tried to breakaway - Jeeps, Range Rover, Merc.
But I always return to Jags 8)

Hmm; I think it's an S Type, the MK 2 had chunkier bumpers ?.

In 70's cop shows like The Sweeney the villains were always chased through the streets In old Jags and usually hit piles of cardboard boxes.
Which just happened to be there

Speed 3 with a Milk Float.

Or every episode of Starsky and Hutch.

Arthur Daley drove a 1981 Daimler Sovereign made by Jaguar.

What did Morse drive?

Good call the Daimler Sovereign / XJ MK3 is a perfect looking Jag 8)
Morse drove a MK2, the MK2, MK10 and original S Type were near identical looking motors!.
They were replaced in 69 by the XJ saloons, I recently bought an aluminium bodied 4.2 V8 XJ - X350 with all the extras - satnav, touchscreen, phone etc etc for a good price. The car was giving worrying fault messages but as I suspected it was a knackered battery £80 for a new battery and the messages disappeared
