Hello everyone. I am new to this forum so I thought that I would do the social thing and say gidday. I have been watching Albert and Harold since I was about 10 or 11. I would watch it with my Dad. I can still remember laughing with him but not really being quite sure what I was laughing at. The comdey was a little subtle for me at that age. But having recently aquainting myself with the Steptoe's again I can now see with perfect clarity what my Dad was laughing at. I have all the series except 6,7,and 8. But those are on order. Now, if I could just get hold of the Christmas specials.
But I reckon they will be out on DVD at some stage.

BTW I am a 47 year old bloke living in the deserts of central Australia, Alice Springs to be exact.

All the best all, Brian. :)
What can I say, these two lovely guys make me laugh.

I know that the series was - is very popular downunder.

It is a pity that the play is not going to tour Australia it was Superb and it would be sold out at every venue !.

As Archie has already proved, we are a very friendly bunch on this forum and I look forward to some interesting postings.

Just to pick up on a couple of points:

The Christmas Specials are being released in the UK later this year.

While it is true “Murder in Oil Drum Lane” is not going to Australia, you can at least claim to be one up on us, as Wilfred and Harry toured Australia with their own stage show. Did you see it ?

Also are there any clips available of Wilfred’s X-rated appearance on Australian Breakfast TV ?

I would love a copy.

Hi Bob, unfortunately I have never seen the Steptoes live. As far as the network expose' that Wilfred did, I can make some enquiries. Most Australian media organisations are pretty good at keeping their historical stuff.

I will have a poke around and see what I can come up with.

Chers all, Brian.

Hi all, we have just had a bit of a desert holiday. I thought that I would see if I can post a couple of images of the "outback expedition" just for fun.....

It's good to see sunny weather for a change the summer has passed us by.
Yesterday was an especially depressingly wet dull day
 a bit like the scene in - the Lead Man Cometh- when Harold and Albert dump the lead in the canal.
