taylorslade

I have heard others talk about this, who were not old enough to have seen the original broadcast...

Perhaps this was before they deleted them.

That would make sense Phil as I DEFINATELY saw Pot Black in colour. 100%. No doubt in my mind. It was the early-mid 90's.

Hmmm

I was not old enough to see any of them originally (born 1981). I always had a memory as a kid of seeing 'Any Old Iron' in colour because I remembered the bit with Harold's bag but it is possible I was mistaking it for 'Back In Fashion' when Harold enters with the funny jacket on.

But I find it hard to take that EVERY print across the world was deleted.

P.S. I find it ironic that the episode 'The Colour Problem' is one of the black and white ones... makes me chuckle!! lol

Yup, I too have seen this in colour, maybe sometime in the early 80's when I was about 10 or so. I reckon there's a couple of tea leaves down at the BBC archives.

I knew it wasn't just my imagination.

You know...the BBC probably have these in their archives, but they probably can't be arsed to look properly. Wouldn't suprise me .

Taylorslade...

How dare you say that? LOL. It's not like they were stupid enough to delete them in the first place, is it?? Hmmm... alright I take that back lol.

Look at it from their point of view - if they have them, why bother releasing them? We were all prepared to pay for the low quality black and white versions, why make the effort if we will buy the cheaper produced stuff? I'm sure that;s what the Beeb think. Or maybe it's an elaborate scam to sell the same DVD's twice... make us by the B&w versions then soon after charge us again (double price of course) for the colour... lol
