Charity Shops

Postby Archie » Sat Feb 21, 2009 5:52 pm

I was in a local charity shop this morning, and spotted several Steptoe video's.
After looking at the episodes I chose 'Men Of Letters' one of my favourite episodes.

I asked the woman how much the videos were ?, she replied 2 for £1 :o I left the shop with all 6 tapes each tape has 3 episodes !.

Thinking about it later on I wondered if I should have bought them all as I already have them on DVD and video's I've taped from the telly over the years.
Maybe I should have left them for someone who doesn't have them, or someone may have become a fan after watching them :?

It was a good move to by the video tapes Archie.

It will allow you to watch some of the episodes in full without the unneccessary cuts.

2 for £1?

Blimey, your local charity shop is cheaper than mine... videos are £1.99 each there...

Bargin!
How much is that in old money?
No one where I live puts anything good in charity shops. Personally I'm still waiting for the rag and bone man to come round the street, to get rid of my stuff  8)

Not in my family, my auntie will not part with her video. She still tapes stuff that way too. Then again maybe that's a good thing, she usually breaks anything new and technical

This has reminded me to have a luck next time I go out, if I'm not on other missions. There was a time I went shopping for fun, now I only go when I have to like birthdays and so on, or a mate's party, but that is a need. :D

I knew what an LP was! :P
All I have is HMV, and that place can really get annoying. A mate of mine when he was younger couldn't buy a 12 dvd because he had no ID, he was 17!
