A Christmas Carol

I noticed from a posting on Ron's website that you refer to a 1966 radio version of Scrooge featurng Willy.

I am a huge radio drama fan with quite a large collection. Do you have a copy of this ? If so I have lots of good swap material.

Hi Bob

Yes, I have this rarity. I have emailed you a response (you will understand why I emailed when you read it!).

You would have perhaps expected Wilfrid to play him a little like the Steptoe character but he actually gives a surprisingly straight performance! It is a musical version and his final song is outstanding - what a booming baritone voice he had!!

This was given to me for research purposes only. It is wonderful to have heard it. He was such an underrated performer.

Anyway, check you email Bob!!
