Hi Did Anyone read the article in the daily express yesterday.

The creators of legendary sitcom Steptoe And Son have rubbished the long-held myth that the shows late stars Harry H Corbett and Wilfrid Brambell hated one another. While the story of the feuding father and son which ran between 1962 and 1974,has long been regarded as one of finest comedies of the era,Writers Ray Galton and Alan Simpson are disputing the belief that actors failed to get onin real life. They certainly didnt hate each other, says Galton,80.They were great friends and although they were two very different people they got on like a house on fire.Rumours the pair were at loggerheads have been fuelled in recent years by the channel 4 documentary when Steptoe Met Son and the Curse Of Steptoe.Galton and Simpson do acknowledge, however thatharry, who died aged 57 in 1982,did struggle to forge a career away from the show.Ray who has just released new book the lost hancock scrips, says his voice was so distinctive. When he did shakespeare it just sounded like Steptoe and people wanted to laugh."
