I've no idea, I thought the DVD's were the same but perhaps they split them out for the Box Set

Ah, i've looked in to this (as always) and think there is jsut a bit of confusion...

For example if you go on to hmv.co.uk and look at the series 7 disc, it says 1 disc. But the actual dvd packaging says 2 discs... so many of the 2 disc sets are advertised on the likes of ebay etc as 1 disc, but they are not.

I do not have them individually but anothert collector has and his are 13 discs, identical to the box set except for the pictures printed on the discs.

Maybe this explains it.

Harold

Try playing them on your computer if it has a DVD drive...

There are ways to unlock the region code on a player, I did it with mine, as it is simply a code the manufacturers put in (the actual DVDs are the same, unlike videos which were PAL and NTSC).

Glad you got the set - I watched the entire thing in 2 days when I got mine! Been known to do it since aswell... lol

Hi Harold

I have been wating for you to get the Boxset for so long, I can't tell you how dissapointed I am that you can't play the discs.

Phil's tip is a good one, you just have to change the region number on the drive settings.

Glad you got the box set harold, I bought it at Christmas ( even though I have the individual series) Amazon UK was selling it for only £17 :o
I'm going to keep it wrapped up until one of my series discs fails/breaks :(

Amazon have raised the price slightly to £20 now - still a bargain. Some people on E bay are trying to sell used box sets for up to £40

I bought it the day it came out - usually I wouldnt dream of that - everything is a fraction of the price 6 months later - just bought the complete COLUMBO set, 34 years worth of episodes lol for £50 - yet the series 1-8 is still £45, wheres the sense in that? lol

I think i paiud £65 for my box set, but im sure i lied and told people less lol My first car cost less than that....

I have no regrets, just over £1 an episode.
