Sir Ken Dodd R.I.P. 1927 - 2018

Sir Ken Dodd - master of tickling sticks, Diddy Men and tattifilarious comedy - has died, his publicist has said.

I will certainly miss him... R.I.P.

I was just about to post this... Absolutely heartbroken. No one has ever made me laugh so much in my life, including Steptoe and Son. Seen him live several times. Absolutely gutted.

Good innings, but not nearly enough.
...Clear weather Doddy, and smooth sailing.
In heaven, Ken will be there with his tickle brush.
Never mind what's his name, if Ken isn't standing there...
We'll know to walk the other way.

One obituary said "he was meant to go at 80 but they couldn't get him off stage". i think Sir Ken would have liked that joke.

Now lets see all the "ken was a bastard" stories come out that always come out when a veteran dies...

So called 'journalism' just gets more juvenile every day, don't it though .

"I never wear a watch if i'm staying in a hotel. All I need is my big drum. Whenever I need to know the time I open the window and bang my drum. I can guarantee someone will shout 'Who the bloody hell's banging a drum at half past three in the morning!' "

Make 'em laugh up there mate.
