Tommy Ramone

Postby Dirty Old Yank » Tue Jul 15, 2014 9:23 am

Original drummer, producer/engineer, songwriter, founding member and arguably most responsible for the formation of the no mucking about wall of sound, RAMONES, one of the most important and influential bands in the history of music, regardless of type or degree of musicianship. Juilliard may look good on a resume, but it don’t mean much when kids from Forest Hills with no musical training could create such an inestimable, worldwide stir.
RIP Tommy, William Burroughs often said immortality was the one goal worth striving for and you certainly achieved that.

Loved the Ramones, and this is another sad page added to a now closed book regarding the original 70s band member lineup now all passed. :|
