I remember first seeing him on the adverts for "Leeds Building Society", I can still sing the song he did. Then Minder of course. Genius program. Genius actor.

Indeed Phil I loved minder, Arthurs lockup filled with water damaged umbrellas and smoke damaged fire extinguishers :o

Quite a career, hope to see more of his work someday.
I knew him best from Hammer's classic "The Vampire Lovers" (1970).
Chances are I saw him portraying the young Scrooge, but that's a faint memory.

What a great actor and a sad loss. Loved him in the St Trinian's movies plus the classic Minder, but also not forgetting all his other shows and series in especially his early roles with his mentor Alistair Sims. RIP George. :|
