Saddened to learn of Richard Davies' passing.
I knew him best as the butcher in Ride Again, an especially good role and memorable performance. Throwing that steak Albert coated with phlegm and wood chips into a paper sack, “I hope you enjoy it sir!!” A gratifying scene.
And in Kipper and the Corpse, where he’d prefer a hotelier by the prophylactic emporium than continue to stay with the insane staff at Fawlty Towers. What little I’ve seen of his work is great fun, hope to see more someday.

The Welshman played the science teacher in Please Sir another marvellous 70's comedy series, about an inner London school. He was also in the movie RIP.

I really liked this actor. He was in absolutely a ton of things in the 60/70's.A little like Neil Mccarthy. You only realise that they were in so much ,when you try and get all the autographs for certain films/series etc.
