Saddened to learn of Cynthia Robinson’s passing.
When I was growing up, among the indisputably key brass/rhythm funk sections were James Brown, Ike/Tina Turner, Isley Bros, Frank Zappa/Mothers...and Sly/Family Stone. The Family Stone defined the word tight and were on every jukebox across the country, playing loud and clear. They thoroughly rocked and still do, their Greatest Hits LP is a cherished treasure. An extraordinary musician.....dig that natural.
Fair weather Cynthia, and clear sailing.

Very sad to hear of her death. The album "Dance to the Music" was a ground breaker in its day.
