Fenella Fielding

Deeply saddened to learn of Fenella Fielding’s passing, a versatile actress and icon of femininity.
Most of us here will remember her in that scarlet frock, alongside Harry H in “Carry On Screaming” (1966).
And while it’s very likely ‘Do you mind if I smoke?’ (which became the title of her 2017 memoirs) was inspired
by identical scenes in The Addams Family (1964)…Fenella’s sultry character was already well established, a role
she seemed born to. I also remember her from Hancock’s Half Hour (1959) and “The Old Dark House” (1963).
Don't look to sleazy tabloids for anything resembling her impressive and remarkably varied C.V.
Her website did an admirable job though:
Fenella's passing coincides with the 60th anniversary of the Carry On's.
She & Harry both appeared as those characters on a 2008 Royal Mail stamp.
Clear weather Fenella, and smooth sailing. If you encounter fog on your journey, might just be your smoking:
"I'm a rag n' bone man, I'm not a poxy grave robber!" - Harold
"Hey careful man, there's a beverage here!" - The Dude

Hi, very sad about fenella fielding, very interesting actress, deserved better roles after carry on, but chose not to do any more and was typecast for it, but her dress in COS was not something to forget? :(
