Very sad news. A brilliant actor, Windsor Davies has always been and will always be a favorite regardless of role.
I remember him best in...“Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed” (1969), “It Aint Half Hot Mum”, “Grand Slam" (1977),
but perhaps most notably in “An Evening with Alf Garnett” which is a terrible irony, BBC having stupidly banned
re-broadcasts of those 2 all-time best and most popular sitcoms, Till Death Us Do Part & It Aint Half Hot Mum.
Everybody knew those 2 shows and characters were intended to parody bigotry, not celebrate it. Theres never
been any question that everyone’s opinion should be taken seriously and nobody wants to hurt the feelings of
others, they’re just topical sitcoms! But politicians should never be allowed to cynically legislate entertainment because of the complaints of a minority of focus seeking extremists who have no sense of humour. And here
we are just a few short years later…now those same corporatized politicians are attempting to criminalize
free speech
on both sides of the pond, gosh what a surprise

. Just thinking of Windsor Davies brings
a smile to all our faces…you can’t do better than that, although his being Welsh helps a lot
