Harry H Corbett/ Wilfrid Brambell Movies

You guys seem to be forgetting Wilf playing Paul McCartney's grand-dad in HELP!

This was actually in "A Hard Day's Night", possibly the only Wilfrid Brambell film commercially available that I havent seen, as I can't stand the Beatles at all and couldn't imagine sitting through it.

Interesting performances from Wilfrid are in a rare swedish film "Picasso's Aventyr" where he plays a Lesbian (alongside Bernard Cribbins who plays the same). One that disappointed me was "Witchfinder General" - Wilfrid's name is on the DVD cover, third billing. But he is only in the film for 58 seconds!!!!!!!!!!!! They were naughty for doing that!!

But worse still is the DVD's of "Hardcore" which bill Harry. H Corbett on the cover - and he is in it for 7 seconds!!!!! Beware!!!

Harry is particularly good in Jabberwocky, a favorite.

Although not a sighting of either of H or Wilfrid. I did see Fenella Fielding the other night in a comedy/horror film called The Old Dark House. It was a lot of fun

PS - I must pick up Ladies who do. It will be better viewing than the new series Cleaning Up (Now just where do they get their inspiration from?)

William Castle directed Hammer's version of Old Dark House, known primarily for his gimmicks
he'd put buzzers under cinema seats (The Tingler), things like that. Joe Dante's 1993 comedy
"Matinee" starring John Goodman was based on Castle. A favorite bit from Old Dark House
is Fenella's first scene, descending the staircase she's wearing one of those mad "bullet
brassieres" that were as likely to cause injury to innocent bystanders as anything else.
In John Waters' juvenile delinquent comedy "Cry-Baby" they're used as self defense.
Harry & Willy were always so good regardless of role, even brief appearances couldn't be described as 'cameos'.
Wilfrid also appeared (without teeth) as a station guard in “Where the Bullets Fly” (1966), another of those
