"today marks the start 100 years a go of the first world war we know albert took part in that war and had many storys some funny some sad any chance of any of you Steptoe brain boxes or ray and allen even writeing a book or some storys about alberts war im sure it would sell well just an idea . the vicar

That would have been interesting, Galton & Simpson doing a retrospective of Albert's experiences funny and tragic during his time in the trenches then back home in blighty.
