Brambell Book

Postby bob » Thu Apr 20, 2006 12:46 pm

I have an old copy that was rescued from a Library. I had to pay a book tracing company to track one down.

Its a while since I read it, but from memory he dosn't spend too much time talking about Steptoe, even though the cover features a picture of him in his Steptoe costume.

Hi Charlie

Welcome to the site.

I got my copy about 18 years ago. I went into WH Smiths and they told me the book was out of print.

They gave me the details of a company called "Hooveys" . I have done some research and they still exist. As I remember they will locate a copy of the book (mine is an old library copy) and then let you know the condition and price. If you are happy the deal can go ahead.

Their phone number is 01424 753407 or website www.hooveys.co.uk

Please let us know how you get on.

Bob

I guess this was Charlie who made the comment above. Just to let you know, it took a while before Hooveys got back to me. I was beginning to think they had forgotten about me when they came through with a copy.

Please keep us updated on whether they manage to find a copy for you, the condition, price etc
