Collection update:

Just acquired another two vintage 13 x 22in Steptoe & Son Aussie day bill posters for my collection. Both are in wonderful condition and were obtained direct from Australia with another Frankie Howerd " House on nightmare park" poster. 8)

Id love the 60's radio times, I have the 70's ones. It's interesting in them to see their perception of things as they were then. Steptoe really was as popular as Kylie Minogue in the Dorothy Duddy!! Often history can glorify how things were perceived, or they can only be appreciated later, such as Fawlty Towers which really wasnt a hit after its first run, but they are our little bit of evidence that right from the start this show set the world on fire!

PhilGlass: I agree , my brother like me who's a fan came across the two issues on eBay and spent about £42.00 which is a lot for an old issue of anything but the images are iconic but before I put them in a collectors bag had a flick through of what was on tv in those days. Love it. :P

Well here's my 27x40 Aussie Steptoe & Son poster mentioned. Bought it from a seller in Sydney in Australia for an initial £45 plus p&p and with custom fees total was £75 all in , It's in lovely condition with no tears just four small pin holes in each of the corners and I've got It temporarily located in clip-frame poster with my other large poster ect waiting for a permanent frame. 8)

Update: Just obtained with some on the Buses Belgian film posters a cool Steptoe & Son 1972 film brochure to go with my other film posters. It's in good nick for it's 42yrs but never realised how big the brochures were in those days as it's poster sized itself. Loving the info & pics inside too, very detailed. 8)

Hello Ilovesteptoe How did you get the otb poster?
Albert Steptoe: 'Ere, that's a What the Butler Saw machine!

Harold Steptoe: Ah, you recognize it! Takes you back to your lecherous youth, does it?

You're worse than a fly 'round a cow's arsehole.

Hello Ilovesteptoe How did you get the otb poster?

I bought the On the Buses Posters from Belgium with the small Steptoe poster already listed shown below, and the House on nightmare park poster was from Australia with the larger Steptoe 30x40 quad & Aussie 14X22 daybills listed. Here's additional pictures. 8)
