The Offer - Remade

Postby bob » Tue Jun 12, 2007 7:52 am

A few years ago BBC Radio 4 remade a new version of The Offer.

Although the original script was used, this time the play was set in the north of England and there was no studio audience to laugh at the funny bits.

This recording highlights the quality of the writing of Galton and Simpson.

If you have never heard it, it is available to listen to on the official BBC7 website for the next couple of days

Yep that is utterly superb and demonstrates that the script is next to perfection. John Thomson (Fat Bob / Cold Feet) is Harold, I can't quite remember who Albert is, is it Freddie Jones or someone of that ilk?
