DVD Cuts - Mystery Solved

Postby bob » Thu Feb 21, 2008 8:33 am

I have been forwarded the following official BBC response about the cuts made to the recent DVD releases :

I have now had a response from Production. It appears that some years back, edits had to be made to the programme due to technical faults on the original master. I can assure you that we have used the best and most complete masters available to us for this DVD release, and can only apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment this may have caused.

For those of you who want a simple explanation here it is :

BBC Archives buggered it up AGAIN !!

Can't argue with that Nick, to me its just another example of an old BBC habit callied "Auntie knows best".

This attitude continually serves to catch them out, but they seem unable to change.

The Brand and Ross Fiasco, telephone call fraud and the Queen misrpresented all arrise from this attitude.
