Lost Episodes????

Postby Sven Donkers » Sun Apr 20, 2008 11:43 pm

Hi All,
Just wondering if there is any genuinely lost footage from the steptoe "catalogue" mabe old interviews or behind scenes footage.
a kind of holy grail for steptoe fans.

I know if it's truly lost, we may not know it existed in the first place, but there may be things that Ray and Alan or others have reported filming, that have simply dissapeared!

Wouldn't it be great to find some of these treasures!!! :D

It would be great if the lost colour episodes could be found.

There were a number of other Steptoe related apperances such as "Buckingham Palace" or "Variety Club Awards". They are not exactly lost treasures Pixel has most of them, we would have hoped they could have found it onto the DVD's as extras but allas no.

Don't forget the Ken Dodd sketch which is featured here. I have this on dvd and I got it through Ken Dodd channels - I didn't know this existed until I ordered a bootlegged Ken Dodd show and to my surprise Albert and Harold were on it. The opening of this show was recently used on a Ken Dodd documentary so the BBC know of the shows existence... whether they know of the Steptoe connection I dont know but they probably do.

Hey PhilGlass

Were you planning to make the Ken Dodd sketch available to others? You could rip it and upload to YouTube.

Would love to see it. Am sure many others here would ditto that.

It's a bootlegged show from years back so no doubt copyright (if it ever applied) has long since expired.
