Welcome onthebuses

I must admit , I always thought that "Divided" was the most popular episode, but the poll suggest that "Manificent Men" is the best.

I still think there is an error in my code !!!!!

'magnificent men ' is the best Bob , there no error  i watched this the other night and i could have sworn when the ceiling was falling in on Albert and Harold, that wilfrid brambell was trying his hardest not to laugh, its a classic!

That scene does tend to look somewhat unrehearsed - due to an over zealous BBC effects team... creates a more spontaneous moment of comedy.

For me...

Divided we stand, as mentioned before the "knobs on my side" line is a geniune classic, and , in my opinion this episode is perhaps the best performance by Brambell as Albert.

The Desperate hours, Brambell, Corbett and Rossitter...I think I need say no more. The brilliant thing about that episode is that no matter HOW much the actors are into the dialogue in the latter stages of the episode..you are ALWAYS aware of how cold it is meant to be in the house...that's skill my friends. :) .

I will also go for The Offer...Galton and Simpson could of just filled this with gags and particular Hi-jinx to get people interested...but incredibly they chose to concentrate on Harold's plight...the episode itself is not particularly funny...but it brings a lump in your throat during the end scene. This took a lot of guts from Galton and Simpson....i geuss it paid off.

Also.....ANY episode in which Albert yells the word "Cobblers!!" with great ferocity....makes me LOL every time
"Big Bristols , she had."

Oohh yes Live now .........

This was a bit like panto in some places with them both dressing up.

There are lots of funny parts in the episode but I love Albert's face, when he is pretending to be Emily and he is watching a porn film with a lecherous ex-copper

hard to pick a favourite, i'd have to give a mention for pilgram's progress (series 4)
love the scene on the plane with albert arguing about the war with the american and frenchman.
"i wouldn't be surprised if you wasn't the one that got at maude elliott"
