Just would like to start a discussion about your most memorable scene from Steptoe and son tv or the two films.
Even people that are'nt big steptoe fans comment on my most recognisable memory and that's Albert having a wash in the sink from the film. After finding he has no towel to dry himself stands up and scares the woman next door half to death. What's your most memorable ???

Albert decorating his steak and kidney pie with his false teeth! i also like in 'the lead man cometh' Albert collecting rain-water in a vase then tipping it straight back on the floor again! there'll never be another Harold and Albert ! LOL

I love the start of porn Yesterday where Albert takes his coat off before starting to sunbathe.

I guess the Avatar gives it away.

On a similarly disgusting note to the false teeth on the pie, what about in "Loathe story" where Albert says to Harolds future mother in law "Ere' missus, you've forgotten your sandwich" and then he wipes it under his armpit and hands it back to her. Her face is a picture! Albert also keeps wiping his nose and then picks out a couple of sugar cubes and drops em' in her tea!

Watched the episode "The Bath" recently and if you have'nt seen it there is a classic scene were Albert eating his dinner in the bath drops the pickled onions in. Reaching into the bottom of the bath and between his legs and places unspeakable , Albert grabs handfuls of wet pickled onions and puts em' back in the jar! Harold speaks the imortal line "you dirty old man!" , Harold also say's "you would'nt have told me that you've put em' back in the jar if i had'nt have seen you.

This threat supports a project I am thinking of putting together for the website. I want to create a screensaver that features the best lines from all the episodes.

I've even got a bit of sponsorship for it, so please keep these comments comming.

What about in the film where Harold comes home from his night out with Zita and Albert has had to spend the night in the stable? Albert reaches into a bucket and pops his false teeth into his mouth. Harold says "you dirty old man, the horse has got to drink out of that"
Think Wilfred must have really slept in that stable because in that scene he really looks like he's just woken up!

Also when in `Divided we stand` Harold holds up a cup and says "what's that?" Albert replies "coffee dregs" Harold says" coffee dregs? , that's pure penicillin, that's hairier than the flock wallpaper"
There is just no way that can be beat!!!!!! what a scene, classic!!!!!

Just watched a winters tale for the first time in ages and there is a great scene at the beginning where Albert is having a shower. Harold starts singing happy birthday because Alberts in the shower, and then you see Albert in the shower with his underpants on washing with the dishes around his feet so he can kill two birds with one stone! classic

I have two favourite bits from the second film. The first is the entire funeral sceen from the bit where Harold gets hit in the face by the lorry door, to where he terrifies the Vicar as he emerges from the crypt in his wite shroud.

But I just love the dark humor of the sceen where Albert is laying on the bed covered in the torso taken from a manikin. He has just tricked the Doctor into beliveing he is dead. He can't move because of the weight. In a very creapy moment Harold uses the dummys head to tap at the window to dmand that Albert gives him his body back. The old man is so frightened the scock nearly kills him.

The scene from the film where Albert is cooking breakfast, he drops the egg on the floor then scoops it back up and puts it on the plate

The pie crust will always be my fave but I was watching Loathe Story earlier and laughed when the shuttlecock fell in the horse manure.

Oh and when the psychiatrist swats Harold's cacky boots.
