Steptoe Picture Quiz Game...

Postby PhilGlass » Mon Jan 24, 2011 7:51 pm

Okay, this might be a bit of fun (Thanks to the user of another forum I borrowed the idea off...)

I will post a picture which isa shot from a Steptoe episode. It won't be something so hard like a picture of Albert scowling that could be from anything, but it will be something which has a clue in it as to which episode..

Simply write you guess and I will keep track of the points. Each one will get a little harder, but all will come from regular dvd episodes, no deleted scenes, no specials etc...

So, who's up for a game.. here's the first.. I think this is an easy one...

5 points per correct answer, first one to post gets the points... We'll play up to 10 pictures to begin with..

Phil,

Cuckoo In The Nest....

Albert paying off Harold's landlady....

They were going back to Oil Drum Lane over dinner to discuss a sort of reverse takeover!

Albert added an "s" at the end of son on the gates when "Wallaby Jim of the Islands" moved in....

How authentic.....

Notice in the screenshot, QPR (not very clearly) on the door which is for any fans of S & S not familar to the Shepherds Bush setting, the local team for the area....

Also mentioned in a couple of episodes and at least one film....

Nice One Phil.

I think Graham will give you a run for your money.

I know I let you see my quiz (which is still in development !!!!!!) well over a year ago. I are you sure you don't remember the picture quiz from there?

Points total: GRAHAM 10 points
KARL 2 points

But don't worry, anyone can catch up (and also, there could be a boobie prize for the winner, you never know!!!!)

Scene 3 - I think this is an easy one, but who knows...

Bob I like it, but however I played it kept telling me I got 8 out of 48 points...

But when I deliberately answered all incorrect answers it did the same, maybe a ttweak is needed? otherwise it was brilliant and there were a few questions that threw me a little which is the whole point of a quiz.

:)

Hi Phil

I don't get that problem. I know this may be a long shot but maybee there were only 8 questions when I sent you the link well over a year ago. Could it have something to do with the cache on your PC ?

All feedback welcome. I may get around to launching it properly one day, with highscores, table of fame etc.

Bob,

It is the cache, yes, I left the comment before realising that and have tried clearing the cache and it works, and also in another browser so there clearly is not a problem from your side.

Loving it!! Really enjoyed it. Didn't do too well... rather upsetting lol

It would be fantastic to have a high score board and everything! What iddi here was just a bit of fun, a laugh, to pass some boredom away, it wasn't meant to compete with that (how could it?).

Great fun :)
