Quite a lot of scenes in Steptoe take place in, or center around the loo, so it’s a legitimate subject. And to pretend bodily functions don't happen would be a little absurd. A favorite “toilet” scene, Albert is trapped inside the loo and while he waits for Harold to get home, to avoid boredom he starts reading bits of newspaper, one of which describes a naughty bishop in a brothel raid. But when he gets to the good bit, the pages run out. Hilarious

Correction: it wasn’t a bishop in a brothel raid, it was a vicar in a tryst with a foreign domestic in a caravan.
"'I was just teaching her English’ he said.” (Crossed Swords). Enter Constable Dixon of Dock Green....
“Don’t try to be funny with me sir, I know you can’t play billiards in a caravan.”
