Hiya. I didnt see anywere 2 introduce myself so did it here. I love Steptoe cos my stepdad got me in to it. He has all the dvds. Some of the other girls at school think its sad I don't. It's funny. I love Albert!

The only thing "sad" about Steptoe (for yanks anyway) is BBC never bothered to promote/distribute the series here.
It got adapted as Sanford and Son, a historic and influential sitcom, but...
it wasn't as good as the original.

You haven't! I only meant to say that most Americans have never heard of Steptoe, and that's really sad, a BBC blunder.

Welcome Melody

Steptoe was, in my view, the show that made it easy for the others. If you love British comedy the first show to watch is Steptoe.
