All episodes in this series are top drawer, the series at its very height, but plumped for the Wooden Overcoats just to see Harold pretend he is interested in Albert's welfare when actually he is terrified to be in the house alone.
Sunday for seven days I love that episode, Albert crushing and throwing his drink container over his shoulder without looking, cracks me up every time.
same as above, pics od nudity were rare on TV then but the outside the cinema queue just crease me up! and Alberts nuisance wind ups inside are brilliiant!
The third series is brilliant throughout, but if I had to choose favorite episodes... "Homes Fit For Heroes", "The Wooden Overcoats", "Sunday For Seven Days", and most especially... "Steptoe à La Cart", comedy perfection itself .
"I'm a rag n' bone man, I'm not a poxy grave robber!" - Harold "Hey careful man, there's a beverage here!" - The Dude
Of the ones listed, I like the Bond that Binds Us best. I love how Albert rubs Harold's nose in the fact that he sold his share of the premium bonds, so he doesn't get a share of the winnings. Then at the end Harold exposes Albert's new girlfriend for the golddigger that she is, but he needn't have bothered. Albert already knew, which was why he bought her a cheap ring with a fake glass stone and not a real one. Albert outsmarts Harold at every turn in this one.
I thought we'd nick a wreath off one of the graves as we went in.
There's so many to choose from. I had had favourite, it would be a toss-up between Upstairs and Downstairs & Desperate Hours. Love em all to be honest.
