Piss poor impressions

Postby stephen68 » Sat Apr 28, 2012 9:51 pm

Was watching the story of light entertainment on BBC earlier and it showed Mike Yarwood doing impressions of Steptoe and Son, changing from a bowler to a flat cap for either character.
In my old age now haha i can remember Mike Yarwood being very funny, but seeing it tonight they were very poor impressions, didnt really sound at all like them

The ones 70s impersonators did if they weren't very good were always Steptoe and Son and Frank Spencer, they were the easiest ones!! Very few impressionists "impress" me (see what I did there? ;) )

I prefer the Steptoe impressions done by Alistair McGowan and Sessions and Cornwall in Stella Street

Mcgowans' Steptoe/Eastenders sketch is one of the funniest things i've seen as far as impressions go!
He had Nick Cotton/Harold & Dot Cotton/Albert spot on!
