Does your question refer to the two-stories-high Vernons sign on the side of 26a Oil Drum Lane?
In “Ride Again” much of the sign isn’t visible and I don’t gamble, so here’s a wild guess.....
The sum decreased from the first movie, in one year, by 80,000 quid, difficult not to notice that.

Yes that is the correct answer. It seemed odd that a top prize would decrease by £80,000 1 year later, although it was the early 70's and things were tight? Labour government?

Actually, no Nobby, I hadn't asked that question before.
You’re right, Albert tossed back 4 drinks in a row; malt whisky, gin, brandy and ....??
So he was well on the way to good ‘n juiced when he accidentally destroyed Harold’s porcelain collection .
Your go :o.

Hi Dirty Old Yank.

Yes, slightly sozzled although not the whole Brahms.

The Steptoe family have fallen fowl of the Old Bill before the above fracas, stolen lead, hot porn and dodgy piano's.

But name the episode, in which?

Q: Harold is warned by a PC that he is "Flying Low!"

Reads like a piano recital gone terribly wrong, “....Oh ghod no, not the whole Brahms!”
A constable points out Harold’s open trousers in “Steptoe and Son...And Son!”

Correct Dirty Old Yank, your go. I'll have to have a butchers at the above episode tonight.

Feel free to have another go and be on the lookout for those nasty spy bots and put on your silver foil hat.

You will know this is me writing this as I will paraphase another G&S creation in saying a la Hancock that "It is also ah not raining here in Tokyo!"

Nobby, if you wanna wear a Bakofoil hat, go right ahead mate, but the human-Tesla-coil look just aint for me.

Harold has drawn a funny mustache and glasses on the picture of a Tory candidate.
What was that candidate’s name?

Nearly a week and no takers.

A: A Star is Born - Need less to say.

The type set has run together and what is a string of poloponies? They're Polo Ponies.

Someone else ask one, please?

Good question Nobby, but it’s difficult to focus on the dialog with Maggie Nolan standing there :o.

New one then:
In which episode does Harold kiss Albert on the forehead?.

Harold's Teleportation Skills

Postby Yonnie » Tue Dec 20, 2016 8:18 pm

Anyone else notice in '...Ride Again' Harold teleport across the playing field when he first takes the dog out for a run?
First shot he's on the path by the gate and a second later half way across the field.

You’re absolutely right, never noticed that before, Harold suddenly appearing in the middle of the paddock, presto! Doesn’t match at all. That’s another one of those ‘life imitating Steptoe’ moments, many times I’ve frantically ran around neighbourhoods shouting out the names of lost dogs only to find them back at home, having a kip . Welcome to the forum :).
