The Complete DVD repackaged set

Postby Corinda » Wed May 07, 2014 11:35 am

Apologies if I'm repeating a question asked elsewhere. It's to do with the DVD collections currently available on Amazon. (I did a search but could only find one reference to the 'repackaged' set, which suggested it wasn't worth buying over the cheaper set.)

I'm sure members will have seen the different 'complete' sets available on Amazon. I emailed Amazon to ask what the difference was, but even they didn't seem to know.

Which finally brings me to my question. Am I right in thinking that 'repackaged' doesn't, in this case, mean 'remastered'? Ie - the picture quality is the same, whichever set you choose?

One is currently priced at £20.64, an another at £30.64. They both look the same. As does another at just over £34.

If anyone can advise me, I'd be very grateful.

Regardless - it's terrific to see a board devoted to this sitcom. (Thank you to the founder!) I grew up with it - and just love Galton and Simpson's work.
