Memorabilia Souvenirs

Postby steve sheffield » Tue Nov 04, 2008 10:57 am

Does anybody out there in steptoeland know of any shop or website that sells anything such as Tee-shirts ,cups ,posters towels etc with Harold and Albert on?
I would love to put my towel on a sun lounger in some foreign land with Harold and Alberts faces grinning away!
You can almost hear albert saying "should have gone to Bognor!"

It's something I have thought about for a ling time.

The problem is that you have to buy quite a bit of stock up front and there is no guarantee that enough people will buy.

I also don't want to upset Ray, Alan and Tessa

That's a real shame bob cos i'm sure they would sell big time. Just look at how well the dvds and videos sell! It's quite sad that you cannot buy anything much of two all time greats. Have you ever had the chance of speaking to Ray and Alan about it?

There seems to be plenty of stuff on ebay. I have a couple of mugs, t shirts, coasters and a key ring!

i run a shop on my forum using vistaprint.co.uk to personalise stuff. they do shirts, mugs, ect. so if you are ever thinking of doing a steptoe forum shop give them a try.

I do a members magazine too - i think that would go well on here too.

just a thought

Hi onthebusses

Both are great ideas, I worry that the magazine may take more of my time than I have, but I could do something via an email update if people think it wold be a good idea.

thanks bob.

i find doing a mag does take a bit of time - mainly printing and posting is the most absorbant. the content is quite fun to think up and a few other members help - i am lucky to be in the position of working online so i can do it in breaks.

A newsletter or online based mag would work just as well i think.
Newsletters are also a good way of reminding members who havent been on in a while about the forum they joined! ;)

hope i have been of help.

I think the magazine is a great idea. I realy don't have the time

If somebody wants to produce one I can create a pdf and distribute it to all forum members.

YOU can all produce your own one if you want.
