RIP George Kennedy 1925 - 2016.

Brilliant actor - Dragline in Cool Hand Luke, Ed Hocken in Police Squad, the engineer in the Airport disaster movies.

My favourite is him playing in The Dirty Dozen as the Umpire in the War Games.

RIP.

Loved him in the Naked Gun franchise, plus other films & series he starred in. Very saddened to hear of his death. Excellent actor. :|

He was in so many films and television shows that it is hard to pick a favorite appearance. I have to say I liked him best when he was doing westerns. He has many appearances in Gunsmoke and Have Gun, Will Travel playing various roles.
I thought we'd nick a wreath off one of the graves as we went in.

Some actors seemed immortal. For example as with George Kennedy there was the great & late Ron Moody, Christopher Lee, Patrick Macnee , and Ernest Bognine. All gone now, who passed in their mid nineties. All were staples of our childhood TV in the 50s, 60s , 70s & 80s, even up to the present some were still acting. It's to be expected yes, but still sad to hear when one passes.
