RIP Bert Kwouk 1930-2016

Today its been announced that actor Bert Kwouk AKA Cato in the Pink Panther films has sadly died age 85.

Manchester born but Shanghai, China raised he starred in many classic TV series before hitting it big time. On his return to the UK in 1954 he featured in numerous early film & TV roles, which including ITC series Danger man, The Saint before before starring in Bond Movies Gold Finger & Bond spoof Casino Royale, but he's best remembered as in the Pink Panther franchise as faithful man servant to Inspector Clouseau played by Peter Sellers. In his twilight years he did many voice-overs, theatre work and became favourite as electrician Entwistle in the long-running classic Last of The Summer Wine from 2002-2010. He is and was a great actor who will be sorely missed. :|

A fine actor, no doubt gone up to attack Peter Sellers in heaven.

Remembered as Cato, Entwhistle and from Banzai.

Ironically I was watching Last of the Summer Wine the day his death was announced on the BBC. So many classic comedy actors from yesteryear have passed recently. Not many are left sadly. At least we have their work & legacy to saver. :|
