Answer: Norman.

What are you doing after the Orgy?

Q: What did Red Foxx do in Sarnford & Son that Wilfrid and H never did in Steptoe & Son?

Norman was correct :).
.....after the orgy? :?
Thanks Nobby, but geriatric gymnastics (kung fu) just aint my thing :o.
There was a great deal Redd Foxx of Sanford and Son did, that Harry & Willy didn’t.
Including quitting the show!
As a character there was also quite a lot Fred Sanford (Redd) did that Albert and Harold did not.
Attending a South Central Baptist church for example.

Well yes there was a lot and I've only watched 1 and a half episodes, I just read the wikipedia about the show and saw that Red Foxx didn't appear in all of the episodes, which was what I was after.

Bet he didn't wash in a tin bath though :D

Your go!

Could be mistaken, but I seem to recall Redd Foxx leaving the show in a contract dispute with NBC. Sanford and Son was one of the most popular shows on telly, a cash cow. Ratings were through the roof and everybody was making a pot of money except the stars, Foxx & Demond Wilson. Redd wanted a rise which was refused, he said sod this and slung his hook, which is why he wasn’t in all the episodes. As the only remaining Sanford, Demond Wilson later sought a rise which was also refused, he too slung his hook and the show was history. That story doesn’t surprise me, Sanford’s producer, recently deceased Bud Yorkin wasn’t known for his negotiating skills, just witness the debacle over Ridley Scott’s “Blade Runner.”
There was an episode where Fred (Redd) lazily fell asleep in a tub in the yard, wasn’t tin though :o.

New question then.....
Harold & Albert believe they have a new addition to the family!
What was the full name given the child at the Christening?

Close enough, the lad’s full name was Albert Jerome Steptoe.
Surprised Harold didn’t insist on adding Esq., what with plans for Eton and all that .
Your go Nobby :).

Thank you DOY!

Q: Name the episode where Harold does the sitcom equivalent of "Here's Johnny!"

That would be “And So To Bed”, an episode that preceded The Shining by 6 years.
Those scenes are virtually identical so the question is, did Kubrick nick that imagery off Steptoe?
Consciously or unconsciously, chances are he did.

Hello DOY, nice use of the Edit button

I guess you didn't want the answer to be U R A Silly Turd. Now I'll have to look for the other episode.

Edit: Missed a word out.

Now now, there’s no call for calumny when “chowderhead” would’ve sufficed :o.
You’re right, I changed my question the next morning when I realized I’d already asked that Ouija one some time ago. Chances are I’ve asked this new one too at some point, don’t recall. But your answer was correct so it’s your go, unless you want to keep guessing in which case here’s a clue:
The artist that created the painting with a burn in the center, and whose name we’re looking for, was misidentified as a hyphenated Pre-Raphaelite at first by Harold, but Albert corrected him.

Hello DOY.

Sorry for the rude words, nothing was meant it was just the answer.

A: Harold says it is a Bern Jones and Albert says it is a Bert Jones.

Sorry more rude words VAT (Value Added Tax, not Vodka and Tonic).

Q: Harold has to pay Frankie Barrow £15 for the insurance premium and 8% VAT, but Frankie settles for a quid. If we say that today Harold still pays £15, what would the amount of VAT be?
