"woudnt it be nice if we had a bbc audio cd box set of the steptoe shows like they do with hancock and dads army its about time we had one. we steptoe fans seem to lose out all the time. im talking about the radio shows by the way i mean the 1974. christmas show broadcaste on radio 4 in 1976 has never been out on audio tape or cd. what dose every one else think? nick. :?:
not the vicar again hes had two bob of me this year already.

I agree. There has been a set of 'Dad's Army', so why not Steptoe?

As an aside I picked up 4 episodes of 'Fawlty Towers' on cassette in a charity shop last week - only £1 :o

I had some episodes of Fawlty on vinyl but didnt think it worked - tey were direct recordings from the tv show and it was not very good, i didnt know they did a proper radio series!

Yes I have copies of all of them but a nice pristine boxset would go down a treat.

i've just completed my radio show collection so a boxset is bound to come out now!! :wink:

I wouldn't bank on it... they have ben available for a number of years, but never a boxed set. While they can get away with charging £4.99 for 2 episodes on one dvd why make a box set?? At that rate we can't afford it!!! lol

"well at long larst my wish has come true ive got Steptoe and son the bbc radio collection series 1 and 2 21 episodes of the classic bbc radio sitcom in a 11 cd set set over 11 hours vol2 out in feb next year so I'm happy keep me going through the winter extras the ken dodd show and overseas trailers. £24 from amazon uk :D
not the vicar again hes had two bob of me this year already.

"vol 2 of Steptoe and son is now out 8xcd s running time 8 hours there will be a third set out in aug with the Christmas shows and more no extras this set but more good Steptoe to see me through spring :lol:

"the last volume of the Steptoe and son audios vol3 is now out extras are the Christmas 76 radio show the 1967 night of the stars and scotch on the rocks from 1978 very happy at larst to have all the Steptoe radio shows on cd at larst I hope every one got them :D
