Does anyone remember, I think it was the early 90's, when there was a series called 'Paul Merton in Galton and Simpson's.....' and each one was a remake of a Hancock episode??

Anyone know if this is on DVD I've been searching and can't find it. I want it purely for nostalgia as I remember my family and I enjoying the series very much.

Oh dear yes I remember this series only too well and hated every painful minute.
I'm with Michael Caine on this one: Why remake the good stuff? Why not remake the turkeys and put right what went wrong...

Anyway it's on DVD: £8.97 on Amazon.

Didn't Ant and Dec try to re-do the Likely Lads as well?
Why oh why oh why?

Wink

To be honest I was a lil boy at the time so I hadnt seen the Hancock ones at that point, which is why I enjoyed them. Now I know better but its nice to have things for nostalgia. Thanks.

Yeah ant and dec did and even worse, Reeves and Mortimer did Randall and Hopkirk... I assume they re-make stuff because the new stuff coming out is so crap!

i tried watching Paul Merton in those shows but being a big Fan of Tony Hancock i too found 'em painful,i know Merton is a big admirer of G & S/Hancock and he was clearly doing the shows as a tribute, but great comedy cannot be redone or imitated.......................one offs!!! leave 'em alone.
